Reading about Baby Mels instantly took me back to the first time I tried to teach my nephew how to crawl. He was barely three months old, and every tiny movement felt like a monumental achievement. I remember lying on the floor with him, coaxing him forward with a bright red rattle, and feeling a mix of awe and impatience as he hesitated, then suddenly lunged forward, arms flailing and a giggle escaping his lips.
